Hey, crafty friends! 🎃 September is my favourite time to start Halloween crafting. It's early enough that you're not rushing, but the season is officially "on" — pumpkin spice is back, the light's getting golden, and it's the perfect time to build up a little collection of treats before the October chaos hits. I put together my whole crew of Halloween candy holder characters, so you can pick your favourites and get a head start.
1. Creepy Cody, the Halloween Ghost

Meet Cody — a classic Halloween ghost with a witch hat, orange cheeks, and a pumpkin treat bucket, all wrapped around a clear dome candy holder. He's spooky in the sweetest possible way, which makes him a great pick if you want Halloween charm without anything too intense.
2. Funky Frenkie, the Frankenstein Monster

Frenkie is my groovy little Frankenstein-inspired candy holder — green, smiling, with a shock of black hair and a clear dome belly for the candy. He strikes that perfect "spooky but still cute" balance that makes him great for kids' parties and classroom treats alike.
3. Midnight Mindy, the Halloween Cat

Mindy is a black cat candy holder with glowing eyes and a little pumpkin treat bucket of her own — mysterious, a little magical, and undeniably cute. She's a great pick if you want something with a slightly more "witchy" aesthetic than the classic ghost-and-monster crew.
4. Zombie Ziggy, the Undead Dog

Ziggy is easily one of the most playful designs in the bunch — a cheerful zombie dog candy holder with a bone accent and a wagging-tail kind of energy, even though he's undead. He's a fun one for kids who love dogs and want a Halloween treat that isn't quite so witch-and-ghost focused.
5. Skeleton Sawyer, the Gingerbread Man Gone Spooky

Sawyer is the most unexpected design in the group — a gingerbread man candy holder with a Halloween twist, half classic gingerbread, half skeleton, complete with a little red heart. He's a genuinely clever mashup that always gets a double-take.
Building Your September Halloween Lineup
Since all five of these characters share a similar HalfBall/FullBall structure and dome sizing (6cm and 8cm), they display beautifully together as a set. A great September game plan:
- Week 1: Cut and assemble Creepy Cody and Funky Frenkie
- Week 2: Add Midnight Mindy and Zombie Ziggy
- Week 3: Finish with Skeleton Sawyer, your showpiece
- Week 4: Fill them all with candy and set up your Halloween display — done, with a full month to spare before the 31st!
If you start building your Halloween crew this September, I'd love to see it! Tag me or send me a photo — nothing makes my day more than seeing my designs come to life in your craft room. All five characters are available in my Etsy shop, each with video instructions to guide you through assembly.
Happy (early) Halloween crafting! — Niki
